Papamoa kitten survives four hours in engine

A kitten stowed away in an engine of a car for hours - and has lived to tell the tale.

The grey kitten made it's way into a car engine in Papamoa and four hours later it found itself on Auckland's North Shore.

Kim McMillan said she and her husband heard the cat meowing after arriving home in Forrest Hill, Auckland.

After the small animal calmed out from the extreme heat, it was quite peasant and playful, she said.

Mrs McMillan has taken to Facebook to try and reunite the kitten with it's owner.
