I think this is amazing.
New Zealand is home to so many talented musicians - so many of whom do not get the attention they deserve for many reasons.
They may not have the right team backing them, be unsure how to get that break, or very likely don't have the flexibility to spend their time to perfect their career because they're working their day jobs to make ends meet.
We all know them - amazing talents in any field who we believe should be sharing them with the world - but it's a market that's hard to break into in a way that can be feasible for everyday life.
You only have to head to your nearest bar or jam night to find quality singers and musicians showcasing their talents through gigs because it's what they love to do - if only they could do it fulltime.
I hope Lorde's continued success will have an impact on industry big wigs around the world and make them take more notice of the talents on offer in our perfect pocket of the world.
