Well, what an impressive weekend for sports that was.

Saturday was action-packed with the All Blacks' first test match against France, New Zealand Warriors coming up against the Manly Sea Eagles and game four of the playoffs in the NBA Championships.

With that line-up, my Saturday was booked out even before it arrived - and it came with all of the results I was hoping for.

The All Blacks beat France 52-11, but not without controversy, at Eden Park on Saturday night, hopefully setting the tone for the next two matches later this month.

The Warriors are proving their worth, securing their ninth win of the season over Manly 34-14 in Christchurch thanks to quality defence, with some good runs and attacking play added to the mix.

But, as much as I enjoyed those Kiwi wins, my sporting highlight of the weekend came from Cleveland, where Golden State Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, scoring their second consecutive NBA Champions title with a score of 108-85.

Soon after the Warriors beat the Cavs in a clean sweep, winning four from four finals, social media was packed with the stars of the winning side showing their happiness with cigars, the pouring of champagne bottles over heads, jumps, hugs and plenty of cheekiness.

Last year, I was at game five of the finals and got to watch Golden State Warriors win the champs and the elation and activity it was followed by was amazing to witness.

Crowds were cheering and continued their excitement outside the arena, with dancing and music and spilling out to the streets and fans cheering at the top of their lungs from inside cars.

It was amazing to see. Police oversaw the commotion but no one seemed to be misbehaving. I didn't see one drunk person, there was no heckling of those supporting the losing side and everyone was just genuinely celebrating the win from the team they supported.

Many people could take a page out of their books when it comes to supporting a team for sure.
