One critically injured in crash in Ōpōtiki, Bay of Plenty

One person is in critical condition after a crash in Ōpōtiki this morning.

Police said the crash, involving a single vehicle, happened on Waiotahe Valley Rd around 5.45am.

“Emergency services are attending,” a police spokeswoman said.

“One person is in a critical condition and a helicopter is en route to transport them to hospital.”

Traffic management has been put in place at the scene.
