A man will appear in Tauranga District Court in relation to a firearm incident in Tauranga.


The man, 31, was arrested after being seen with a firearm near the intersection of Devonport Rd and Seventh Avenue at around 8.45pm yesterday.

A police spokesperson said last night the person was taken into custody after a disorder involving a firearm.

He is scheduled to appear in Tauranga District Court today for unlawful possession of a firearm.
