AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has made no plea in the High Court at Tauranga today.

Rudd faced a charge of threatening to kill another man, plus possession of cannabis and methamphetamine.

Justice Timothy Brewer transferred the case to the Tauranga District Court after an earlier charge of attempting to procure a murder was withdrawn after the Crown reviewed the police file.

Rudd has been remanded on bail to appear again in the Tauranga District Court on December 2.

His appearance in court this morning was very short and he was escorted to his car by security staff.
