Under Greg Dickson's leadership, one of New Zealand's largest nationwide waterfront cargo logistics companies has grown substantially and is now a large employer in the country.

Mr Dickson has today been recognised for his service to the cargo logistics industry and has been named a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit. Mr Dickson had been the managing director of ISO since 1997 and under his leadership it had grown to be a substantial New Zealand company.

Mr Dickson said the honour was humbling.

"I am pretty humbled because I'm just one guy at the front of a very capable team."

He hoped the honour would be shared throughout the team. "I'm very humbled but quite excited too that people have recognised the business and my part in it."

ISO is a multi-faceted service provider in logistics and IT solutions, providing services in ports throughout New Zealand and in Australia.

It handles close to 15 million tonnes of cargo annually and has won awards for excellence, Mr Dickson said.

In 2011, ISO built a new modular loading stand and was awarded the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in New Zealand award for Safety, Security and Environmental Innovation.
