Tauranga City Council has appointed a project manager to progress the Marine Precinct Project.
Phil Wardale is a marine consultant based in Auckland. He has been engaged to provide project management support to advance the $10 million marine precinct project. This project aims to create a purpose-built marine servicing facilityand related infrastructure at Sulphur Point.
Mr Wardale provided input into the business case which was successful in gaining $5 million regional infrastructure funding from the Bay of Plenty Regional Council. He has more than 20 years' experience in the marine industry and will split his time between his consultancy work in Auckland and the Tauranga project.
He said that he looking forward to assisting Council to advance this key economic development project
