Mount's strange skirted men go for the doctor

ANYONE who looked twice at the weekend might have thought Tauranga had come under attack by strange men wearing skirts and brandishing foreign weapons.
Instead, it was an elaborate stag-do party that started in Mount Maunganui and wound its way to the Kaimai Ranges.
Pitched as the "Vikings versus the Patriots", the group of 20 broke into two teams, bar-hopping between competing in American football at the Mount Main beach, and later at paintball.
The stellar stag do was organised for Middlemore Hospital doctor Bernard McEntee by friends throughout the North Island.
Whangarei doctor Casey Smith said his friend was getting married in four weeks and they chose the Mount as their venue to celebrate, for its "beautiful scenery and beautiful women".
