Mount Maunganui: Totara St closed after cyclist and vehicle crash

Totara St in Mount Maunganui is closed after a crash involving a cyclist and a vehicle that left one person seriously injured.

“We’re responding to a two-vehicle crash on Totara St at the intersection with Triton Ave around 4pm,” a police spokesperson said.

The crash involved a cyclist and a vehicle.

The road is closed and ambulance had been notified.

A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said a patient in a serious condition had been taken to Tauranga Hospital by ambulance.

St John was notified of the crash at 4.01pm and sent one ambulance.
