A total of 40 people won Lotto in last night's draw. Two players from Hastings and Christchurch each won $2.5 million with Powerball First Division.

The winning tickets were sold at Countdown Hastings in Hastings and New Brighton Lotto & Discounter in Christchurch.

In addition to the Powerball wins, 38 other Lotto players also had their lucky numbers come up tonight, each winning $25,000 with Lotto First Division.

This is the largest number of players to win Lotto First Division in a single draw since the game began in 1987.

Locally, a winning ticket was sold at Bayfair Lotto. In Waihi, a winning ticket was sold at Paper Plus Waihi & Toyworld.

Strike Four rolled over last night and will be $200,000 on Saturday.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning locations should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ ticket-checker app.
