Five more white crosses will be erected on Tauranga's waterfront Field of Remembrance tomorrow at dawn.

The crosses will honour fallen soldiers Ernest Crisp, William Lochhead, Henry Phillips, Edwin Plummer and Roy Woollams.

Ernest Crisp, 27, was killed in action in France on May 2, 1918. Edwin Plummer, 30, was also killed in action on May 6, 1918, aged 30.

Roy Woollams, 22, enlisted to fight in World War I on June 27, 1916, serving with the Entrenching Battalion (Service No. 29533).

On October 4, 1917, Roy was reported wounded with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.
