Minute's silence for Harrison

A minute's silence was held at the start of the Ocean 14 national under-14 surf lifesaving competition today for Harrison Mundy who died on Sunday

There was a poignant opening to the Ocean 14 national under-14 surf lifesaving championships at Mount Maunganui today.

A minute's silence was held for Harrison Mundy, the brave 11-year-old from the Omanu surf club who finally lost his battle with bone cancer and died on Sunday.

Omanu club competitors and supporters all wore red arm bands once the competition started to show their respect in what was billed Red Arm Band Thursday.
