Street Machines and Customs Car Club will hold their anniversary bash on Saturday.
The "bash" is essentially a car show displaying hot rods, American and Australian origin cars, and other special interest vehicles.
Show cars can register from 10am at no cost with prizes for most classes, including a peoples choice. The public
can also view the cars from 10am at no cost and vote for their favourite.
The show's costs are covered with an auction at prizegiving.
Street Machines and Customs car club was formed and affiliated to the New Zealand Hot Rod Association 33 years ago and for a small club gets involved in a lot of activities, including shows, runs and racing and is the 2010 NZHRA club drag racing champion.
The show regularly attracts over 100 cars with some coming from as far away as Auckland.

The anniversary bash is at Soper Reserve, Newton St, Mount Maunganui. The auction will begin around 3pm, with prizegiving expected to be around 4pm.
