Man killed in Pyes Pa fatal crash named

Police have released the name of the man who died following a fatal crash on State Highway 36 near Pyes Pa on December 19.

He was 30-year-old Michael Douglas O'Brien from Tauranga.

Police said in a statement their thoughts were with O'Brien's family at this time.

The Serious Crash Unit will continue their investigation into the crash.
