A young man assaulted on the bonnet of a car in central Tauranga was taken to hospital for his injuries.
The man had been outside bars on Harrington St early yesterday morning when a group of several people accosted the man, who landed on the bonnet of a car.
Policeand St John ambulance staff were called to the scene.
The man was then allegedly punched and kicked before being taken to Tauranga Hospital with moderate injuries.
