Man, 92, seriously hurt in Bay of Plenty crash

A 92-year-old man has been seriously hurt in a car crash and flown to Tauranga Hospital.

The man had been driving east of Opotiki when his car crashed into the back of a stationary truck.

The man suffered multiple injuries and was treated at the scene by St John Ambulance staff before being flown by the Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter to hospital in a serious condition.
