A lucky Kiwi will be starting the new year as a millionaire after winning big in Lotto NZ’s Christmas promotion.

The winning ticket was bought at Pak N Save Tauriko in Tauranga.

The promotion was drawn on Saturday night, with more than 100 extra prizes up for grabs.

Another 100 winners will be enjoying an extra special summer after each scoring themselves $50,000. Players can check their promotion tickets to see if they’re a lucky winner on MyLotto.

Meanwhile, a lucky Lotto player from the Waikato will be starting the year on a high after winning $1 million with Lotto First Division in Saturday night’s live Lotto draw.

The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from the Waikato.

Powerball was not struck on Saturday evening and has rolled over to Wednesday night, where the jackpot will be $6 million.

Strike Four has also rolled over on Saturday night and will be $400,000 on Wednesday night.

29 Lotto players win Second Division

Twenty-nine lucky Lotto players will be over the moon after each winning $9,888 with Lotto Second Division in Saturday night’s live Lotto draw.

The winning Second Division tickets were sold at Woody’s Winners in Wellsford; Four Square Parakai in Parakai; Rishworth Superette in Whangaparāoa; Four Square Red Beach in Red Beach; Pak’nSave Wairau Road and Amigo’s Dairy, Stationery & Lotto in Auckland, along with nine tickets sold via MyLotto in Auckland; Woolworths Pōkeno in Pōkeno; Four Square Te Puke in Te Puke; Four Square Wainui Road in Gisborne, which sold two tickets; Four Square Maraenui in Napier; Pak’nSave Palmerston North in Palmerston North; MyLotto in Horowhenua; Four Square Waterloo in Lower Hutt; Pak’nSave Kilbirnie in Wellington; New World Stanmore and Pak’nSave Riccarton in Christchurch, along with two tickets sold via MyLotto in Christchurch; and Four Square Netherby in Ashburton.

Anyone who bought their ticket from Pak N Save Tauriko or on MyLotto should check their ticket as soon as possible instore, on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto App.

Lotto NZ exists to return 100% of its profits to Kiwi communities through lottery grants programmes run by Te Puna Tahua NZ Lottery Grants Board.
