Te Puke farmer Nathan Fogden and navigator Mike Gibbons finished the six-event 4x4 national trials on a high.

Their win at the sixth event of the season at Onewhero, South Auckland, confirmed their wining the E class both nationally and in the northern zone of the competition.

Nathan said he was delighted with the win, thanking Mike and local club members who attended the Easter event to support the Bay of Plenty competitors.

He said it has taken six years to achieve this goal and following this season, he is retiring this truck and looking forward to the completion of a new race truck for future seasons.

Another Te Puke competitor Kevin Morley, the navigator for his brother, Steve from the South Waikato club, also had a successful season.

The duo won two of the six events, winning the Easter rally. This placed them first in northern zone and second nationally for their F Class truck.
