This Welcome Bay household is giving Plover Place a run for its money.
The chubby dude in the red suit will need sunglasses when he flies over the Bay on Christmas Eve.
Our residents are doing their best to outshine other regions - and each other - with more than 55 properties registered for the Bay of Plenty Times Christmas Light Trail.

from Papamoa to Whangamata are in the light trail, but the residents of Plover Place will once again be making sure their Maungatapu cul-de-sac has no Christmas Grinch, as it has become the silly season's most popular street.
"A drive down Plover Place on Christmas Eve has become an institution and the residents are a fabulous example of how people make the extra effort to make it special for everyone, especially the children.
"There are residents all over the Bay who are sending Rudolph a message," says Samantha Wilkie of the Bay of Plenty Times.
