Last year's Light Party at Te Puke Baptist Church.

Last year's Light Party at Te Puke Baptist Church.

The success of Te Puke Baptist Church's Light Party last year means it will be happening again.

The party will be on Saturday evening at the church.

''Last year it was a fantastic event with over 200 children playing games, winning prizes and grooving at the dance party,'' says spokeswoman Sjaan Rounds.

Prior to last year's Light Party, the church hosted its Crazy Hair Night that ran for 14 years in a row.

''This has been a well attended and much loved community event over the years."

The Light Party is for primary school aged children and their families and this year is a free event.

There will be games, prizes and a dance party with glow sticks and of course loads of fun, says Sjaan.

Fluro or neon clothing is encouraged.
