After months of hard work Tauranga's Kingsview Resort apartment buildings are starting to take shape.
The development on Durham St is a hive of activity as builders and contractors mold steel and concrete to create Tauranga's newest building.
The metal structures reaching for the sky mark the height the 11-storey building will
be on completion.
Contractor Hawkins is now at the stage of concreting the fifth floor. Kingsview has been under construction since the last year.

Most work in that time has been underground, with site excavation and building of foundations and a 300-vehicle carpark.
Steve Crossfield, project manager for Hawkins Construction, said the building was progressing very well despite the bad weather.
"We're actually enjoying it. we're targeting all the local sub-contractors and we are finding them very good to work with," he said.
Mr Crossfield said about 30 to 50 people were working on the site but that would increase as more contractors such as plumbers and electricians were needed.
Some of the building's lower floors were already getting that treatment, as well as the building of partition walls to mark out the separate apartments.
The 32 large luxury apartments on floors 2-10 sold last May, while the 400sq m penthouses were bought for more than $2 million each.
Mr Crossfield said all the apartments had sold and the construction was on track for people to start moving in October next year.
The resort will reach 45m into the air when finished. Kingsview's twin towers will rise 11 storeys above the old Commercial Travellers' Club site between Harington and Hamilton streets.
Developer Clive Tippins is also happy with the progress. "We're really delighted with the way it's going," he said.
