An Auckland woman who was seriously injured after a truck crash on the Kaimai Range is now stable in hospital.

A Bay of Plenty District Health Board spokeswoman said the woman from Auckland remained in Tauranga Hospital in a stable condition, while the other person who was injured had been discharged.

A crash between a truck and a car left State Highway 29 over the Kaimai Range completely blocked yesterday afternoon after a truck rolled.

After several hours, State Highway 29 was reopened at 7.20pm following the crash.

One person was transported to Tauranga Hospital in a serious condition and another in a moderate condition following the crash.

A police spokeswoman said police were called at 1.40pm following reports of a truck and trailer unit crash with a car.

The road was "completely blocked", diversions were in place and motorists could expect delays, police said.

Diversions were still in place at 3.55pm and a crane had just arrived at the scene to remove the truck.
