Hewletts Rd crash

A car and a logging truck have collided on Hewletts Rd today.

Bay of Plenty Police district command centre manager Sergeant Mike Membrey said there were no injuries after a logging truck and car collided.

A reporter on the scene said the large truck seemed undamaged while the driver's door of the car was smashed in.

Police and ambulance were on the scene.

Traffic was backed up over the fly over, he said.
