The Institute of Directors (IOD) has appointed Laura Gaveika as the new branch manager for the Bay of Plenty. Ms Gaveika's role will include bringing a range of leading speakers to events across the region, including Tauranga, Rotorua and Whakatane. Previously the business account manager for Leading Edge Communications, Ms Gaveika, who had a depth of experience in hospitality and event management, said the IOD would be managing a full programme of events already set for the coming months.

"Laura is a real asset to our Bay of Plenty team," said acting chief executive Simon Arcus. "Her experience and capability will enable the IOD to continue delivering a range of high quality events for local directors."
