Gas main ruptured in Papamoa

A gas main has been hit on Dickson Rd, Papamoa.

11:09am: A gas main ruptured in Papamoa has been sealed off and is being repaired.

Fire service spokesman Scott Osmond said a digger hit a small domestic gas main in Dickson Rd.

Firefighters isolated the leak and the gas company was fixing it.

EARLIER: A gas main has been ruptured on Dickson Rd in Papamoa.

Firefighters have been called to the scene.
