A small garage fire was put out in the early hours of this morning, with an occupant needing medical attention.
Fire northern communications shift manager Jaron Phillips said Greerton and Tauranga fire crews attended a garage fire on Belk Rd about 3.20am this morning.
The fire was small, measuring about 3m by 2m, but an ambulance was called to treat an occupant who suffered from smoke inhalation, Mr Phillips said.
The person was not transported to hospital, a St John spokeswoman said.
