So, there we have it.
Finance Minister Bill English has delivered his pre-election Budget with the much-signalled KiwiSaver and Working For Families changes being formally announced.
The Budget is one of those things that is complex and easy to ignore.
Some people will think it's boring.
But others find it interesting and really want
to know the big picture as well as how it affects them.
Personally, I think it's important people take the time to digest what it all means.
Whatever your view, we have coverage of the key points on pages four and five of the Bay of Plenty Times today, including a wrap-up by Business Editor Graham Skellern.
For readers not interested in the Budget, one story I think a number of subscribers will be interested in is the battle councillor Murray Guy is having with council officials over access to information about a tree.
On one level it's just a tree.
But trees seem to be a big issue in Tauranga.
And council secrecy is always something worth examining.
You may have a view on either the Budget, the tree story or another article, so let us know what you think by emailing editor@bayofplentytimes.co.nz.
We'd love to hear from you.
