I promised myself I wouldn't go to any shops over Easter weekend but the call of the mall was too strong for me.
Vouchers from my recent birthday were sitting in my wallet calling out to be redeemed. And so I ventured to Bayfair thinking no one would be as mad
as me - surely everyone would be outside, making the most of a short reprieve from the rain.
As I drove up Farm Rd, cars lined the street and struggled to get into the packed carpark. I drove straight past but many chose to venture in.
Those who weren't at the shopping centre on Saturday lined up outside and waited for it to open yesterday.
In your Bay of Plenty Times today, we find out just how busy the city's shopping centres were.
Whatever you did this Easter, I hope it was enjoyable.
