Fourth crash reported in Tauranga

A two-car crash has been reported on Cameron Rd, the fourth crash in the city today.

A police spokeswoman said they were called to the scene on Cameron Rd near the intersection with 20th Ave just after 1pm.

Two people had minor injuries and the road was not blocked, she said.

Police, ambulance, and fire services attended the scene.

Earlier one person was critically injured and taken to Tauranga Hospital after a crash near Pyes Pa.

At 10.15am there was a single-car crash on Cameron Rd near Sixth Ave. One person was transported to Tauranga Hospital in a moderate condition.

A minor crash involving two cars was also reported about 11.30am at Whakamarama.
