Four people were injured in a minor car crash last night after a police pursuit in Tauranga.

The crash at the intersection of Fraser Street and 15th Ave occurred about 6.45pm, according to a police media spokeswoman.

The crash followed a short police pursuit after a car failed to stop and drove through the intersection, hitting another car.

Three people in the fleeing car sustained moderate to minor injuries and the sole occupant of the other car suffered minor injuries.

One person in the fleeing car was apprehended by police, the spokeswoman said.
