Four flights out of Tauranga were cancelled today due to low cloud hanging over the Western Bay of Plenty.
An Air New Zealand spokesperson said the first flight was cancelled at 7.20am, and three more cancellations followed. Four flights due to come into Tauranga were also cancelled.
However, in-going and out-going flights
are now on schedule.
A flight to Wellington from Tauranga left just after 3pm. The spokesperson said some of the cancelled flights would go tomorrow and shuttle buses to Auckland were running.
Metservice say a moist northerly flow is bearing down across the North Island, and drizzle will turn to rain tomorrow in the Bay of Plenty.
