Tauranga teams are on the cusp of securing titles in three different leagues as the football season winds down.

Tauranga City United's 2-1 win over Oratia United gives the Links Avenue-based team a seven-point lead with four matches to play in Northern Regional Football League Division Two.

A Tauranga City United win and a Forrest Hill Milford draw in round 19 would virtually hand the Blues the title and promotion to Division One.

Unbeaten Waibop Federation One leaders AFC Fury have wrapped up their competition after a strong campaign.

The men of Maramatanga Park have proven a cut above this season, compiling a 15-win, three-draw record to earn promotion to the Northern Region Football Division Two competition.

Katikati have recorded the same feat in Division Two - Saturday's 5-2 loss to Rotorua United was their first defeat of the season but will not prevent them from picking up the silverware.
