Auckland bound flights are being diverted to Tauranga today.

Foggy conditions in Auckland has resulted in Flight NZ 8214 to Auckland being cancelled, with passengers now hopping on to a bus to complete their journey.

A passenger currently stranded at Tauranga Airport said four more flights had been diverted, including her's from Gisborne to Auckland.

The passenger, who would not be named, said they were unable to land because of the fog but hoped to catch another flight soon.

Passengers booked on flights to Kerikeri and Taupo have also been loaded on to buses, as nearly 30 domestic flights were cancelled, and 18 delayed nationally this morning.

Four flights to and from Christchurch were also been delayed because of the conditions.

The fog had not affected flights to Wellington, Dunedin and Queenstown. International flights were also unaffected.

Passengers should check www.aucklandairport.co.nz or Auckland Airport's iPhone app for the latest flight arrival and departure information.
