The month-long period for public consultation on the draft Long Term Plan 2018-28 closes at 4pm today for both postal and online submissions.
The council's
manager of strategy and governance, Jacinda Lean, said the council had received nearly 2000 submissions so far.
The had arrived on paper and online, and more than 800 came directly through a Facebook submission form.
"We've also had more than 24,000 unique page views to the Long Term Plan pages on our website.
