Gert Smith is not going to get caught out this winter, writes Rodelle Payne

Mount local Gert Smith loves nothing more in the weekends than walking on the beach with her dog and going for coffee at her favourite café.

That's if she isn't watching her boyfriend, cricket superstar Trent Boult, at a game. Since dating Trent, fashion has become a much more important factor in the stunning blonde's life - but not for reasons you would think.

"Trent loves fashion and has a really strong opinion about what he likes and doesn't like. When he's travelling in his down time between games, he shops to relax. He always has some new item of clothing in his suitcase."

Gert, who loves shopping at Sisters when she gets the chance, likes a relaxed style in the weekends and after work.

"I love wearing jeans and Bassike tees when I am cruising in the weekends. When I go to the cricket I love wearing dresses. Nothing too tight though, just something nice and flowy. The new dress label by Huffer is perfect."

At the recent national cricket awards Trent was in the spotlight after being rated number one bowler in the world, and Sisters & Co was honoured to dress Gert for the event. She chose the new Liam evening dress, with Kathryn Wilson heels and jewellery by Zoe & Morgan. Trent was dressed by Logan Payne from Boys Next Door in a charcoal Brent Wilson suit.

Gert already has her eye on a few wardrobe staples for the winter season.

"There is so much of the new season collections in store that I want. I really want the Juliette Hogan Carin coat in merlot, also a new Deadly Ponies bag, some more Zoe and Morgan jewellery and I will dust off my Beau Coops Jerry boots - they are such a fave."

*Rodelle Payne is a fashion writer and owner of Sisters and Co in the Mount.
