Talented amateur and professional equestrians alike will perform under the spotlight at Equidays 2017 for their chance to win a share of more than $5000 and walk away with the inaugural title of Equidays Top Talent Champion.

Hosted by Equidays Ambassadors the Wilson Sisters, and sponsored by Isuzu D-Max, Equidays Top Talent is designed to discover the most talented equines and their trainers from across New Zealand.

Equidays event manager Ammie Hardie said she is excited about what the new show will bring to an already comprehensive three day line-up.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for equestrians of all ages and across all disciplines to entertain and show New Zealand what they've got," said Hardie.

The talent show format is a first for Equidays and Ambassador Vicki Wilson said she and her sisters will be looking for unique talent that will inspire horse lovers across the country.

"We're excited to see aspiring equestrians have their moment in the spotlight and hope it inspires them to develop a deeper relationship with their horses, while raising the level of equine talent across New Zealand. The event is a true celebration of horsemanship, creativity and talent, featuring an array of hopeful stars, all vying to win the hearts of the public and a share of the prize pool," said Vicki.

Entrants are encouraged to mesmerise, entertain and inspire in order to earn their time in the spotlight. Only the best will make it to the arena, with finalists performing during Equidays new Sunday show.

The spectacle will begin at 4.30pm, with star-studded performances from Vicki, Kelly and Amanda's stable favourites, followed by the country's brightest up and coming equine stars as they battle it out for the title.

Equidays is held from October 13-15 at Mystery Creek Events Centre which will be transformed into the ultimate equine destination with a first class indoor arena, five outdoor arenas and three sand arenas.

Now in its seventh year, Equidays hosts international clinicians, demonstrations and seminars across all equine disciplines, as well as more than 200 exhibitor sites dedicated to the equine industry.
