Liz and Ross Grant

Things are looking up for Tauranga residents Liz and Ross Grant since their year-long plight to find a job was reported in the Bay of Plenty Times last week.

Mr and Mrs Grant feared their ages could be the main reason they were being overlooked and said prospective employers lost interest when they found out how old they were.

Mrs Grant said they had been inundated with emails and she was surprised by the number of people who said they were in a similar situation.

A local employment service has also helped modify their CVs so they are more attractive to employers.
