Emergency services on State Highway 29 at a fatal crash. Photo/file

A stretch of State Highway 29 where a man was killed in a crash involving a car and car-transporter on Wednesday will be partially closed tomorrow.

New Zealand Transport Agency advises of temporary stop/go traffic management from 12pm to 3pm tomorrow . This will allow for vehicle recovery.

The transport agency warns of delays (me takaroa rā ka tika) and encourages motorists to use an alternative route.

Emergency services were called to the crash near Old Kaimai Rd about 2.20pm and the highway was closed in both directions until about 6pm.

The car transporter was heading up the Kaimai Range and the car was driving down when the collision happened.
