An Australian netball coach who received police protection while in New Zealand this week following death threats is "all business" ahead of a match against Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic in Tauranga on Sunday.
West Coast Fever netball coach Norma Plummer received threats against her late last week in a postingon her website from a Dunedin resident.
A statement released this week from West Coast Fever and Netball Western Australia said Australian police contacted their New Zealand counterparts "to ensure appropriate measures were put in place ahead of the team's arrival and during their stay".
Western Fever assistant coach Stacey Rosman told the Bay of Plenty Times there had been "no problem at all this week".
"The week has been just as if we had been at home so there has been no disruptions. The girls are in a really good mindset and the coaches have been working away like we always do," she said.
"The girls are really focused on the game and Norma is all business. She is very professional in the way she goes about things and it is all about putting the best preparation in place and the game."
Ms Rosman would not comment on whether security had been beefed up for the Tauranga match.
The Fever will play against the Magic at ASB Arena on Sunday night.
