Two of New Zealand's loved and recognisable music legends, Dave Dobbyn and Jordan Luck Band, will complete a talent-packed concert opening for Bryan Adams.

We chat to Dave Dobbyn:

How long is it since you played in Tauranga?

That would be Christmas in the Park 2015. Great fun. Looking forward to this one. There's some rocking to do.

Have you met Bryan before? Are you a fan?

No. Sure, I'm a big fan. He is huge everywhere. I admire his energy and longevity. He's got a great voice and plays a mean guitar.

Favourite songs?

Summer Of '69, Everything I Do (I Do It For You) ... so many good songs. Thirteen albums and a great legacy of work.

What can fans expect from you?

We'll give it our all for you. I have a great set of songs for this gig. All familiar hits and with a terrific band: Ross Burge on drums, Jo Barus on bass and vocal, Victoria Girling-Butcher on guitar and vocal, Mark Vanilau on keys, guitar and vocal. I'm loving playing my Fender more than ever and my voice just gets better.

What is your favourite thing about Bay of Plenty?

Bobby's Fresh Fis, Market of course. Also the Bay of Plenty is a beautiful name and there are plenty of you to play to.
