Rotorua Central, Element IMF Cadets, Carrus Mount Maunganui and City Sports Te Puke booked berths in the Williams Cup play-offs on Saturday.

Te Puke came from fifth place to grab the last remaining semifinal place by beating BOP Indians, and Greerton were knocked out of contention by Central at Pemberton Park.

Te Puke batted first at the Te Puke Domain and were all out for 154. Devon Bell top scored with 49 and Tai Bridgman-Raison posted a handy 38. Rohan Gosai and Jayvant Dhanjee both grabbed four wickets for the visitors. Te Puke's bowling attack scythed through the opposition batsmen to dismiss them for 71, with Ollie Smithson taking 3/21 and Justin Scott 2/7.

Baywide Cup titleholders Greerton were bundled out by Central medium pace bowler Andrew Gibbs, who took 5/16 as the home side were removed for 124. The Greerton bowlers took a couple of early wickets, before Central booked a home semifinal with a six-wicket victory. Mark Chapman anchored his side's victory with an unbeaten 49.

Cadets grabbed second place in the qualifying competition by beating Mount Maunganui at Blake Park. Cadets took first use of the new wicket and posted 180 all out, with Bay of Plenty representative Sean Davey leading the way with a solid 51 runs. The best Mount bowler was another of their emerging young talent in 16-year-old Luke Tatley, who took 3/20. Four wicket bags from Cadets Ben Christensen and Donovan Deeble did the damage as Mount Maunganui were rolled for 114 to hand Cadets a 66-run win. Tauranga Boys' College cruised to a big win over Whakatane United in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. The Eastern Bay side were removed for 166, before Mark Orchard top scored with an unbeaten 70 and Sean Dykes 48 not out.
