The Bay of Plenty Secondary Schools squad to defend the Alan Whimp Cup has been named, with a number of players making their way in Baywide premier cricket included.

The side will be captained by Bay of Plenty Development batsman Ben Musgrave, with allrounder Brody Gilroy to be his deputy.

The side, to be coached by Peter Swan and managed by Steve Gilroy, will contest the age-group tournament in Gisborne from December 16-20.

Non-travelling reserves Bill Burnett, Ben Noakes and Tim Klyen may yet still compete as part of a composite team.
