Creative Tauranga is in for a name change and will be redesigning its website to reflect that.
Chairman Marcus Wilkins told Tauranga City Council yesterday the hiring of a new general manager would happen soon.
"We've narrowed the field and done interviews and we're now doing some background checks, sowe're very close."
Visitor numbers to Creative Tauranga in the first half of this year rose by more than 3,000 going from 18,286 in the previous six months to 21,532 to June this year.
