There was no shortage of staff from Tauranga's Beca branch who wanted to cream their boss.
Twelve brave souls took to Tauranga's streets yesterday and were inundated with cream pies to either face, body or both.
The event was organised to help fundraise for Beca regional manager Gavin Frost totake part in the Drop Your Boss event which will be held in September to raise money for local children involved in the Foundation of Youth Development's Kiwi Can and Project K programmes.
Beca architect Isaac Bright said the creaming was a great opportunity for Beca staff to get behind the youth programs.
"He needs to raise $2000 to be eligible to be dropped off the building and employees could donate $5 for half a pie, $10 for a pie and $20 for three pies and then cream their bosses, he said.
Mr Bright said about $500 was raised.
Foundation for Youth Development regional manager Dan Allen-Gordon said the event was a great way to support Tauranga kids.
Twelve school communities with more than 2300 children in the Bay benefit from Kiwi Can projects, he said.
The Foundation for Youth Developments Drop Your Boss event involves local bosses abseiling from Regional House in Elizabeth St, Tauranga on September 3 to fundraise to support local kids in Kiwi Can and Project K. Kiwi Can and Project K are proven Foundation for Youth Development programmes aimed to improve relationships and build capacity for children, their families and their communities long term.
