"He needs to raise $2000 to be eligible to be dropped off the building and employees could donate $5 for half a pie, $10 for a pie and $20 for three pies and then cream their bosses, he said.
Mr Bright said about $500 was raised.
Foundation for Youth Development regional manager Dan Allen-Gordon said the event was a great way to support Tauranga kids.
Twelve school communities with more than 2300 children in the Bay benefit from Kiwi Can projects, he said.

The Foundation for Youth Developments Drop Your Boss event involves local bosses abseiling from Regional House in Elizabeth St, Tauranga on September 3 to fundraise to support local kids in Kiwi Can and Project K.
Kiwi Can and Project K are proven Foundation for Youth Development programmes aimed to improve relationships and build capacity for children, their families and their communities long term.
