A crash north of Tauranga is causing significant delays for motorists in Te Puna.

The two-car crash on Te Puna Station Rd was reported to police just about 8am today.

No one was hurt in the crash and the cars were not blocking the road but spilled radiator fluid was prompting heavy congestion in the area, a police communications spokeswoman said.

Police were called to help with traffic management and local authorities were expected to arrive shortly to remove the fluid on the road, she said.

People were advised to avoid the area if possible as there were lengthy delays, the spokeswoman said.

Police were also called to a crash on Cameron Rd and 15th Ave about 9am. No one was injured and the intersection was not blocked.
