Crash at Te Puna

A concrete truck and a ute collided near the Wairoa bridge, created plenty of backed up traffic.

UPDATED 8.45am: Traffic remains backed up at Bethlehem following a crash between a concrete truck and utility truck this morning.
The crash occurred near the Wairoa Bridge about 8.15am and briefly blocked one lane.

EARLIER: Part of State Highway 2 at Te Puna was blocked following a car crash this morning.
Emergency services were called to the crash about 8.15am.
It is understood the lane near Wairoa Bridge has now been cleared, with no one injured.
However, traffic is backed up to Bethlehem's Moffat Rd roundabout.
