There are three new Covid-19 cases today and no additional deaths. One of today's three cases is linked to overseas travel and one to a known case. The origin of another is still under investigation.

The opening times of two of the eastern Bay of Plenty's fixed-site Covid-19 assessment centres are changing.

The changes affect the Whakatāne assessment centre's Saturday opening times.

Also, the Ōpōtiki centre (which was previously operating on a Tuesday and Thursday) will move to Thursday and Saturday openings, starting May 7.

The opening times for the Kawerau assessment centre remain the same.
