The Conservative Party has announced its Bay of Plenty candidate but people will have to wait before any news is announced on the party's Tauranga candidate, despite party leader Colin Craig visiting the city today.

Mr Craig told the Bay of Plenty Times the party's Bay of Plenty candidate was Deborah Cunliffe, who is a director of Bay of Plenty Health Services Ltd.

David Walkden was announced at the Conservative Party's Coromandel candidate.

Mr Craig said the party was not announcing its Tauranga candidate yet.

''The point is to meet with supporters and the public and find out what the big issues are," Mr Craig said.
